Breeding French Bulldogs is a specialized process that requires careful attention due to their unique anatomical structure. Here’s an overview of the breeding process:
Genetic Testing:

Before breeding, it’s crucial to ensure that both the male and female French Bulldogs have good health histories and are not closely related. Genetic testing can help identify potential hereditary conditions and infectious diseases like Brucellosis.

Ovulation Tracking: 

Monitoring the female’s ovulation cycle is essential. Typically, a female starts ovulating about five days into her cycle. Progesterone testing can confirm the optimal time for insemination.

Mating:

Due to their physical characteristics, such as short legs and narrow hips, French Bulldogs often cannot mate naturally. Artificial insemination is usually the method of choice. This involves collecting semen from the male and inseminating the female with the help of a veterinarian.

Pregnancy and Birth: 

Pregnancy should be confirmed with an ultrasound. Due to the breed’s large head size relative to their body, natural birth can pose significant risks. A planned C-section performed by an experienced vet is the safest approach to ensure the health of both the mother and the puppies.

Post-Birth Care:
